FUTURE OWNED
Ownership deserves better questions.
A research and publishing project for a changing economy.
The enquiry
Future Owned is a research and publishing project exploring ownership in an economy increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, automation and digital systems.
As the economic value of human labour changes, ownership becomes a more important question.
What do people own?
What rights does ownership actually give them?
Who owns the systems, land, infrastructure, intellectual property and productive assets on which increasingly automated economies depend?
Across systems and disciplines
Future Owned follows those questions across property, money, technology, identity, digital assets, intellectual property and emerging forms of economic participation.
The aim is not to predict one future. It is to understand what is changing, distinguish infrastructure from hype, and give people better questions with which to examine the systems forming around them.
